1K Child Porn Images Found In Branchburg Man's Home: Police

BRANCHBURG, NJ — More than 1,000 images of child pornography were found inside a Branchburg man's home, said Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.

An investigation by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit found that Philip Liebergall, 55, of Munsee Trail, Branchburg had downloaded numerous sexually explicit images/videos of children under the age of 18, said Robertson.

On Dec. 8 at about 7:15 a.m., authorities searched Liebergall’s home and found more than 1,000 images depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child on electronic devices including computers and external hard drives at the home, said Robertson.

Liebergall was arrested without incident at his home and charged with second-degree possession of child pornography and second-degree distribution of child pornography.

Libergall was taken to the Somerset County Jail where he will remain pending a detention hearing in this matter.
