During the meeting, Superintendent Robert Beers also reflected on 2022.

"We want to look back and see what all we accomplished," Beers said.

Highlights Beers shared included revisions of the school district's curriculum, the ESL program, the summer learning programs that included "600 kids" and the new Unit Lunch and Rotating Block Schedule at the high school.

"And we were closed just one day due to COVID all year," he said.

Beers also noted the new principals (at Bridgewater-Raritan High School and John F, Kennedy Primary School), administrators and faculty while he mentioned the improvements in safety and security.

Beers also praised the improvements of the updated district and school websites and the initiation of the first boys’ and girls’ soccer teams at the Middle School, the first Unified Basketball Team and the online expansion of The Prowler, the high school’s news source.

Looking into 2023, Beers spoke about the upcoming referendum.

The 2023 Referendum will be put to vote for both the communities of Bridgewater Township and the Borough of Raritan on March 14.
