2 Small Dogs Thrown Onto Route 202, Killed By Passing Cars: Cops

Readington Police are asking the public for help to find the car involved in this animal cruelty on Friday morning.

READINGTON, NJ — Police are asking the public for help after two small dogs were thrown onto the highway in Readington and hit and killed by passing cars early Friday morning.

At 5:21 a.m., someone said they saw a car pull onto the shoulder of Route 202 south near Railroad Avenue and throw two small dogs out of the car and into the highway, said Readington Police in an alert.

Both dogs were hit by passing cars and were killed, said police.

The dogs are estimated to weigh 20 to 40 pounds, mixed breed, and tan/black in color, said police.
