24 Arrested In 13 Days By Raritan Police

The majority of the arrests were for driving while intoxicated, drug possession, domestic violence offenses or warrants.

RARITAN, NJ — The Raritan Borough Police reported arresting 24 people between Feb. 5 and 18.

Raritan Police blotter:

On Feb. 5 at 2:36 a.m.: Jason Horton, 29, of Bridgewater, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Old York Road. Officer Joshua Manzo investigated.

On Feb. 11 at 9:28 p.m.: Ismael Vazquez, 20, of Perth Amboy, was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance following a motor vehicle stop on Route 202. Vazquez was later transported to the Somerset County Jail after it was discovered he had numerous warrants for his arrest. Officer Timothy DeBerry investigated.

On Feb. 11 at 11:48 a.m.: Jael Cobo-Jaramillo, 23, of Ewing, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Route 202. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated.

On Feb. 13 at 3:30 p.m.: Alicia Harrington, 39, of Greensboro, North Carolina, was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Route 206. Officer Jacob Sniscak investigated.

On Feb. 14 at 9:47 p.m.: Michael Mooney, 26, of Raritan, was arrested on West Somerset Street after officers discovered a warrant for his arrest issued by the Bound Brook Municipal Court for shoplifting. Mooney was turned over to the Bound Brook Police Department. Officer Nicholas DePiano investigated.

On Feb.15 at 1:25 a.m.: Precious Ibe, 25, of Branchburg, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Old York Road. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated.

On Feb. 15 at 4:58 p.m.: Tyler Minter, 20, of Bridgewater, was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on First Avenue. Officer Joshua Manzo investigated.

On Feb. 16 at 9:43 a.m.: Martin Cash, 29, of South Plainfield, was arrested for possession for a controlled dangerous substance following a motor vehicle stop on Route 206. Officer Joshua Manzo investigated.

On Feb. 16 at 8:48 p.m.: Ebon Hodge, 31, of Irvington, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on First Street. Officer Evan Vacchiano investigated.

On Feb. 18 at 4:22 p.m.: John Juhasz, 48, of Raritan and James Juhasz, 46, of Raritan, were both arrested following a report of unwanted persons at the Raritan Post Office. Raritan Officers were initially dispatched to the post office for two men using abusive language towards postal service employees. A subsequent investigation revealed John was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and James had warrants for his arrest for driving while intoxicated from South Plainfield and a warrant for possession of a controlled dangerous substance from Pilesgrove Township. Officer Kathleen Sausa investigated.

The remaining 13 people were arrested for domestic violence offenses, traffic and criminal warrants, and investigations conducted with the assistance of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
