2nd Kitten Trapped In Storm Drain Rescued By Somerset Regional Animal Shelter
The two little sisters were cared for by the shelter and recently adopted together.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A kitten alongside her sister are settling into their "furever" home after being rescued from a storm drain in Bridgewater Township.
In early May, a female kitten, affectionately named "Stormi" was rescued from a storm drain on Sunny Slope Road in Bridgewater by Somerset Regional Animal Control Officers Jess Ostrowski and Karen Fisch. Read More: Kitten Trapped In Storm Drain Rescued By Somerset Regional Animal Shelter
A few days later the shelter got another call about a kitten in the same area. This time Animal Control Officer Chris found another little girl kitten that the shelter named "Sunny," according to Somerset Regional Animal Shelter in an update.

"Sunny was even smaller than Stormi and underweight," said the shelter. "Things wouldn’t have gone well had Sunny remained stuck and alone in that storm drain much longer."
The sisters were provided medical care by the shelter and were reunited in a foster home with Volunteer Nina C. There, they received good nourishment and the care they needed to be healthy and grow.

"We are over the moon to announce the happiest ending for Stormi and Sunny - they’ve been adopted TOGETHER! From a storm drain to a loving home, the tiny bonded sisters will stay together!" said the shelter.
