5 Drug Possession, 2 DWI Arrests Made In Raritan

Raritan Police reported charged five people with drug possession and two with driving while intoxicated recently.

RARITAN, NJ — Raritan Police reported charged five people with drug possession and two with driving while intoxicated recently.

Raritan Police blotter:

On Nov. 16 at 11:01 a.m.: Kevaughn Brown, 28, of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance(CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Route 206. Officer Jacob Sniscak investigated.

On Nov. 17 at 2:29 a.m.: Kevin Barton, 34, of Piscataway, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a report of a single car motor vehicle accident on First Avenue. Sgt. Steven Bonczek investigated.

On Nov. 19th at 8:53 a.m.: Luis Ballesteros, 22, of Bridgewater, was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance(CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Anderson Street. Sgt. Everett Holt investigated.

On Nov. 20 at 10:44 p.m.: Michael Proctor, 49, of New Brunswick and Anthony Proctor, 53, of Somerville, were both arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Route 202. Michael was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS), possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering apprehension, as he provided officers with a false name to conceal the fact he had numerous warrants for his arrest. Anthony was charged with controlled dangerous substance(CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer Christopher Hirsch investigated.

On Nov. 21 at 11:33 p.m.: Sean Stephens, 36, of Plainfield, was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on West Somerset Street. Officer Joshua Manzo investigated.

On Nov. 22nd at 8:10 p.m.: Jose Morocho, 34, of Raritan, was arrested on child support warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Anderson Street. Sgt. James Raniere investigated.

On Nov. 23 at 1:32 a.m.: Loida Amarilla, 46, of Raritan, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Canal Street. Officer Nicholas DePiano investigated.

During this same time period, three additional people were arrested for domestic violence offenses or joint investigations conducted with the assistance of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
