$80K Stolen From Bridgewater Senior Citizen's Bank Account, 2 Charged: Prosecutor
Sanders J. Mishkin and Ronald Cusano both of Lambertville, were charged in connection with the theft from an assisted living resident.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Two men were charged in connection with the theft of more than $80,000 from an assisted living resident in Bridgewater.
The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Unit launched an investigation following concerns involving the impropriety of funds which was discovered after the assisted living facility was contacted by one of the resident’s banks regarding suspicious bank account activity, said Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor, and Bridgewater Township Chief of Police John B. Mitzak.
As a result of the investigation, it was determined that Sanders Mishkin, 65, of Lambertville took more than $80,000 from a resident’s account without permission to use for his own personal gain with at least $10,000 of these funds being tied to transactions conducted by Ronald Cusano, 65, of Lambertville, said McDonald.

On June 14, Mishkin was arrested at the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office without incident and charged with second-degree theft by deception, and second-degree attempted theft by deception. Mishkin was released pending a court date.
Cusano was also arrested at the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office without incident and charged with third-degree theft by deception. Cusano was released pending a court date.
