Airsoft Gun Shooting At Bridgewater Commons, 2 Teens Charged: Police
Two people reported being shot in the head by a BB or pellet gun in separate shootings at the mall in January, said police.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Two teens were arrested in connection with shooting people in the head with an airsoft gun at the Bridgewater Commons mall, said police.
Isaiah C, Smith, 19, and Corey Q. Robinson, 19, both of Center Street in Somerville were arrested, announced Bridgewater Township Police Chief John Mitzak on Tuesday.
On Jan. 4 just before 7 p.m., a woman reported being shot in the head with a bb or pellet gun while walking outside the Bridgewater Commons Mall with her 1-year-old child.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene by emergency medical staff, said police.
On Jan. 14 at 7:22 p.m., a man reported while walking outside the Bridgewater Commons Mall near the AMC Theater he was shot in the back of the head by, what he believed to be, a bb or pellet gun.

The man saw a white sedan driving past him at the time where he believed the shot had come from. No injuries were reported in this incident, said police.
Bridgewater Detectives were able to identify and arrest two teens following an investigation. A search of Smith's vehicle found an airsoft pistol inside and airsoft pellets, said police.
The orange tip had been removed, making the gun appear as if it was a real Glock Handgun, said Mitzak.
Smith was charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose third-degree and two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, fourth-degree. He was released pending his first appearance.
Robinson was charged with simple assault, a disorderly persons offense, two counts of possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose third-degree, and two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon fourth-degree. Robinson was taken to the Somerset County Jail.
