RARITAN, NJ — A fatality has been confirmed in a three-car crash on Route 202 in Raritan on Monday.
"The Somerset County Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team and the Raritan Police Department are currently conducting an active investigation into a fatal accident which occurred earlier this morning on Route 202 in Raritan," said Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Chief Meredith McKay to Patch.
Route 202 was closed in both directions at County Route 567/First Avenue due to the multi-vehicle crash in Raritan on Monday just before 7 a.m.
"Traffic is expected to be diverted from the area for the next several hours," said McKay around 9 a.m.
All lanes are closed northbound and southbound.
Raritan Police are asking drivers to "avoid the area."
The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office will share more details following further investigation.
