While adults browse items like clothes, costumes, and bikes, kids can enjoy a supervised community playdate on the playground, with all proceeds supporting PTO-funded student experiences.
3. Rough Start To School, Bus Service 'Unacceptable' In Bridgewater-Raritan (patch.com) — Bridgewater-Raritan school officials are overhauling bus routes after families experienced long, delayed, and overcrowded rides during the first days of school in Bridgewater. Superintendent Robert Beers says live route data and adjusted building routines are already being used, with more route changes rolling out over the coming days and weeks to restore reliable transportation for students.
4. Residents Requesting Longer-Term Solutions for Speeding on Vosseller Avenue (tapinto.net) — Vosseller Avenue residents in Bridgewater are pressing township officials for stronger, long-term measures to slow dangerous speeding near Route 22, including a flashing speed sign and possible changes to the off-ramp. Police say they're prioritizing enforcement and studying funding for a sign, while council members weigh options like speed bumps, rumble strips, and coordination with local school bus routes.
5. 2 nearby properties install rooftop PV for NJ community solar program (solarpowerworldonline.com) — Two large rooftops on Finderne Avenue in Bridgewater are now generating 2 megawatts of community solar power, with priority benefits for low- and moderate-income households. Residents who can't install panels at home can subscribe to this program for locally produced clean energy and potential utility bill savings, while a long-time industrial property enters a new, greener chapter.
