Want to have some fun, get to know your fellow classmates, learn the game of basketball while at the same time show some school spirit?
Well, some of the children who attend Eisenhower Intermediate School in Bridgewater know just how to do that.
Bridgewater residents, Jeff & Kim Sullivan put together a program where the children (both boys and girls) attending Eisenhower 5th & 6th grade can sign up, try out and play basketball with their fellow school mates.

Together with the help of parent coaches, 5th & 6th Grade boys and girls from Eisenhower school try out for Basketball outside of the Bridgewater Recreation Basketball program to be placed on various Eisenhower basketball teams which only play with and against other 5th & 6th graders attending Eisenhower School.
Girls and boys form separate teams no matter their basketball skill, learn the rules of basketball, meet some great new friends from school that they might not have gotten to know otherwise and go on to the "playoffs" and Championship game to compete to become the ultimate Eisenhower Basketball team Champs for the current year. There are two (2) final Champion teams - one for the boys and one for the girls.

The two final girl teams and two final boy teams gathered for their Championship game on Wednesday, 23rd March 2011 to become Eisenhower's 2011 Basketball Champions!
The two Boy teams in the Final Playoffs were the "YELLOW & BLACK CHILLI PEPPERS" coached by Mike Moody & Todd Goldberg and the "SHARKS" coached by Matt Lynch & Jeff Sullivan. It was a very exciting game with a very close score but the final Champs for the 2011 year were/are the "YELLOW & BLACK CHILLI PEPPERS" consisting of Amit Nitin; Vikas Vijaykumar; Tahir Vahora; Regan Goldberg; Michael Moody; Michael Ruperto; Cole Chirichello; Corey Karnila and Brandon Myers. A big Congratulations goes out to these boys !!
Also, a big thanks to the Sullivan family for taking the time to put this program together, to the coaches who also volunteered their time and dedication to teaching the children basketball basics, to the parents who brought their children to practice and games and to the wonderful children who signed up to be part of this great program.
