Attempted Abduction Of 3-Year-Old Reported In Bridgewater
The resident said he yelled at a man standing in his driveway, while the 3-year-old was in the fenced-in backyard, police report.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — An attempted abduction of a 3-year-old child was reported in the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater Township on Friday afternoon, police said.
A Maple Street resident called police at about 12:43 p.m. to make the report, which was about 30 minutes after the alleged attempt occurred, Bridgewater Police Lt. John Mitzak said.
The resident said he saw a man standing in his driveway, while the 3-year-old was in the fenced-in backyard. When the resident yelled at the man, he reportedly walked away and got into a gray or silver minivan, Mitzak said.

No other description of the vehicle was available.
Police reviewed a home surveillance video near the area of the incident.

"At this time there is not enough information to substantiate the allegation," Mitzak said.
