Avoid Chimney Rock Road For Fire Department Activity In Bridgewater

Bridgewater Police sent out an alert on Friday afternoon.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Drivers are being asked to avoid Chimney Rock Road on Friday due to fire department activity in Bridgewater.

The road is closed between Gilbride Road and Thompson Avenue as of 12:30 p.m.

"Primary electrical power lines down and arcing PSE&G is currently safing the area so we can mop up hot spots. The outages extend up Chimney Rock Road and along Washington Valley Road," said Bill Rose with the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department.

Chimney Rock Road will be closed until PSE&G finishes repairing the electrical lines.
