Bicycle Theft, Shoplifting, DWI Reported In Bridgewater

Bridgewater Police released the latest police blotter.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A bike theft, shoplifting, and driving while intoxicated arrests were reported recently in the township.

On Oct. 29 at around 3:52 p.m.: An unknown person stole a bicycle from inside the vestibule of
Target, located at 200 Promenade Blvd. The victim placed their bicycle in the vestibule while they
were shopping and about 20 minutes later when the victim returned the bicycle was missing.
The bicycle was not locked at the time of the theft.

On Oct. 29 at 10:17 p.m.: A 36-year-old Somerville man was arrested for DWI after a motorvehicle stop for failing to maintain his lane while traveling east on Route 22. He was issued the following summonses: DWI, failure to maintain lane, reckless driving and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was released with a pending court appearance.

On Oct. 30 at around 3:12 p.m.: A 34-year-old Bridgewater woman was stopped for shoplifting at Target, located at 200 Promenade Blvd. She stole store merchandise valued at $192.32. A complaint summons was completed and she was released with a pending court appearance.

On Nov. 6 at 3:56 p.m.: A 55-year-old Branchburg woman, was arrested for DWI after a motor
vehicle stop for failing to maintain her lane while traveling west on Route 22. She was issued the following summonses: DWI, failure to maintain lane and careless driving. She was released with a pending court appearance.
