Body Pulled From Delaware & Raritan Canal In Somerset County

Authorities are currently awaiting the results of an autopsy from the medical examiner's office.

SOUTH BOUND BROOK, NJ — A body was pulled from Delaware & Raritan Canal in South Bound Brook on Friday, said Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives Frank Roman Jr. to Patch.

The adult male body was recovered from the canal near Canal Street in South Bound Brook at around 11 a.m. on March 22.

Authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy from the medical examiner's office to determine the cause and manner of death as well as the positive identification of the person found, said Roman.
