Somerset County Pizzeria Gets In On The Will Smith Slapping Meme Trend

BRANCHBURG, NJ — As the viral photo of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars began circulating around the internet Monday, one Somerset County pizzeria jumped in on the trend.

Trattoria Uno at 1067 Route 202 North in Branchburg share the meme with the wording "Regular Prices" over Rock and "Monday Specials" over Smith.

The meme, promoting the pizzeria's Monday specials, included the caption "Slap the s**t out of regular prices every Monday… Half Price Pasta from 4-9 & $10 cheese pies all day every Monday."

The slap heard around the world surfaced after best actor nominee Smith stormed the stage to slap presenter Rock after the comedian made a joke about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

The audience and viewers were left in shock at the incident, with many believing it was a staged skit. Later in the night, Will Smith went on to win the Best Actor award, his first Oscar win ever, and tearfully apologized to the Academy for his violent behavior.
