Bridgewater Author's New Chuckie Book Released, 5th Book In The Works

Amy Jensen's 4th book in the Chuckie the Chocolate Lab series is "great for children to prepare to become an older sibling."

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater author Amy Jensen's fourth book in the Chuckie the Chocolate Lab series called "Chuckie Becomes A Big Brother" released for sale on Tuesday.

The new book called "Chuckie Becomes A Big Brother" centers around when Jensen's family rescued their black lab, Bernie, from Cold Nose Warm Heart NJ in Succasunna.

"I am so excited for the Big Brother book to be released because there are so many amazing animals that need to be rescued and we have had wonderful experiences rescuing with Cold Nose Warm Heart NJ," Jensen told Patch. "I also think this book is great for children to prepare to become an older sibling or a new addition to their human family as well."

Amazon will carry the Kindle and paperback versions of "Chuckie Becomes A Big Brother" at amazon.com/Chuckie-Becomes-Brother-Chocolate-Book.

A Kindle version will be available for free on Amazon from Wednesday, Feb. 8 to Friday, Feb. 11 for anyone to download and then continue to be available for free on Kindle Unlimited.

Additionally, Jensen said she is planning to do some book readings and signings with the first one will at CB Pet Market in Bedminster on Feb. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (The Hills Village Center, 412 Route 202/206, Bedminster).

The Bridgewater teacher, author, and playwright also announced that she is already working on her 5th Chuckie book, which will be a Halloween book to help children overcome their fears.

"I am really excited about the Halloween book because Ulana, my illustrator and I both love Halloween. It's my favorite holiday. I am planning to include Jim Adams' 13 Skeletons in this book as friends of Chuckie. But I also wanted this book to be about overcoming our fears," said Jensen.

In the fifth book, Chuckie gets frightened by a shadowy figure but finds a way to overcome his fears.

Jensen's late dog Chuckie is the inspiration behind Jensen's book series.

Chuckie is well known in the township and is also an internet sensation with more than 11,000 followers on Instagram, 4,500 fans on Facebook, and 2,800 on Tiktok around the globe.

Jensen started posting about Chuckie after he had an eye procedure and was fitted with a cone. He smashed it to pieces and instantly became a social media hit.
