Bridgewater Businesses Offer Savings To Support National Library Card Sign Up Month

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater businesses are joining local libraries to promote National Library Card Sign Up Month in September.

More than 90 Somerset County-based businesses will offer 10 percent off services and/or products to customers who show their Somerset County Library System of New Jersey library card at the time of purchase.

“We believe the most valuable card in your wallet is your library card,” said Cathy DeBerry, adult services librarian and Business Service Committee moderator. “We also believe in the value of working with local businesses to support our communities. Last year was our first year working with businesses in our community for Library Card Sign Up Month and it was a tremendous success; we had more library card signups than previous years and people really seemed to enjoy using their cards for more than books - in our libraries and in our communities. We’re excited to welcome even more businesses to the lineup this year.”
