Bridgewater Couple Bungee Jumps To New Heights On 'The Amazing Race'
Bridgewater resident Sheridan Cook had to bungee 722 ft. off the 2nd-highest jump in the world and highest in Europe in the latest episode.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater residents Akbar and Sheridan Cook conquered fears and plunged over 700 feet off a dam in the latest episode of CBS' TV show "The Amazing Race".
The Cooks are among six teams still competing on the show where they race around the world for a $1 million grand prize.
The Wednesday night episode kicks off in Switzerland where the first roadblock challenges teams to bungee jump 722 feet off Verzasca Dam — which is the second-highest jump in the world and highest in Europe.

"Not everyone will be jumping for joy when they find out they are facing a 722 bungee jump," said host Phil Keoghan.
Sheridan had to complete the roadblock since Akbar was disqualified for his weight. Despite her fears, she conquers the challenge.

"Lord, get me up!" Sheridan says after taking the plunge.
At the next detour, the couple chooses to complete the "Bartender Race" where teams have to race up a huge staircase to deliver chestnuts and wine.
Tensions run high as Sheridan struggles with the stairs and the couple bickers. In their post-race interview, the couple joke about the experience explaining that they are both competitive.
In the end, the Cooks finish in fifth place and live to race again.
