Bridgewater Driver Found Slumped Over Wheel, Charged With DWI: Police
Another Bridgewater driver was also charged with DWI after Raritan Police say they found him stopped on the Somerville Circle.
RARITAN, NJ — Two Bridgewater drivers were among four people to be charged with driving while intoxicated in separate incidents in Raritan recently.

On March 23 at 8:44 p.m., Michael Toth, 51, of Hillsborough, was arrested for driving while intoxicated by Officer Evan Vacchiano. An investigation by Officer Vacchiano revealed Toth was driving on First Avenue in a Honda CRV when he left the roadway and came to rest on the front lawn of a First Avenue residence.

On March 28 at 11:50 p.m., Anandhan Govindan, 48, of Bridgewater, was arrested for driving
while intoxicated following an investigation on the Somerville Traffic Circle. As Officer Joshua Manzo was driving around the Somerville Traffic Circle, he saw a Silver Honda Accord stopped in the right lane of travel. The Honda’s wheel had become partially removed from its axle. Officer Manzo determined that Govindan had been involved in a single-vehicle crash. While speaking with Govindan, Officer Manzo determined that Gonvindan was exhibiting signs of impairment and he was subsequently placed under arrest.
On March 30 at 5:03 p.m., Officer Nicholas DePiano was called to the parking lot of Staples for a welfare check. A caller reported there was a man slumped over the wheel of his pickup truck and he had hit another vehicle. After a brief investigation, Raimundas Erstikaitis, 68, of Bridgewater, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated by Officer DePiano.

On March 31 at 2:18 a.m., Jose Rueda-Toxqui, 33, of Somerville, was arrested for driving while
intoxicated following a traffic stop on Reimer Street. Rueda was issued additional summonses for
having an open container of alcohol and refusing to submit a breath sample. Sgt. Everett Holt
investigated the incident.
