Somerset County Family Displaced, Dog In Critical Condition After House Fire
A Township family is now faced with the heartbreaking reality of starting over from scratch after this weekend's house fire.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A weekend house fire has left a Bridgewater family displaced and their family dog, Honey, in critical condition.
The fire broke out on Saturday around 9:45 a.m. at a home at the corner of Karen Place and Catherine Lane in the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater Township.
The fire was quickly brought under control, and the family's dog was rescued, said Bradley Gardens Volunteer Fire Company.

Due to smoke and fire damage, the Lowndes and Grametbauer family(Josh, Sarah, Maeve, Ollie, Nolan, Bridget, and Ryan) are now displaced and have lost nearly everything they owned.
"While we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, they are now faced with the heartbreaking reality of starting over from scratch," according to a GoFundMe fundraising website set up to help the family.

Additionally, the family was unable to go into their house to retrieve their things.
The family needs immediate help covering the cost of essentials like food, clothing, toiletries, etc.
"This GoFundMe is set up to help them get back on their feet and begin the long process of rebuilding their lives and replacing the belongings and comforts that were lost," according to the GoFundMe.
Their dog, Honey, remains in critical condition after being in the fire. She will need extensive treatment to recover. Funds raised will also be used to cover the cost of medical bills.
"If you know the Lowndes family, you know they would give the shirt off their back. They have always opened their doors to friends and family without question. We need to come together to help support the family - it will be a long road for all of them," according to the GoFundMe.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Bradley Gardens Fire also thanked all of their mutual aid partners, including Raritan Borough Fire Department, Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company, North Branch Volunteer Fire Company, Finderne Fire Department, and Green Knoll Fire Department.
