The roster is a mixture of top players from the U.S. Youth National Teams, elite college players and four NWSL players. The camp features players from seven different birth years, ranging from 1994 (which is the age cut-off for this year’s U-23 WNT) to 2000.
U.S. WNT head coach Jill Ellis and her staff will observe several training sessions to evaluate players for potential full Women’s National Team call-ups.

Murphy, who started for the Scarlet Knights from 2014-15, redshirted last season to participate in the FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup in Papua New Guinea with the U.S. U-20 National Team. Murphy started all six matches for Team USA and boasted the most saves, 21, and highest save ratio, 77.8 among all goalkeepers in the tournament.
The U.S. went 2-2-2 and finished fourth in the tournament, falling by a 1-0 final in the third place match against Japan.
Also invited was former All-American defender Erica Skroski (2012-15), who excelled last season as a member of Sky Blue FC in the National Women’s Soccer League. Skroski helped Rutgers to a banner College Cup season in 2015, which included program records in wins (19), shutouts (19), home wins (13), and fewest goals allowed (10).
