Bridgewater-Raritan Grad Named New Principal At JFK Primary School
Aldo Russo previously served as a principal in Manville and Bound Brook.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School 1993 graduate Aldo Russo has returned to home as he was named the new principal at the John F. Kennedy(JFK) Primary School.
"My dream has always been to return to Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District and give back to the district that has given me so much," said Russo during the July 19 Board of Education meeting. "I am glad to be home."
Superintendent Robert Beers congratulated Russo who replaced the retired Joe Walsh at the school that educates students up to Grade 4. Russo will begin in his new role at the start of September.

"I feel lucky to be able to recruit such a person of his stature to bring here to Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District," Beers said. "What a welcome addition."
Russo previously served for three years as the principal at the Weston Elementary School in Manville. While there Russo and his team helped the Manville school implement a full-day preschool program, skill-based curriculum and tiered intervention program.

Prior to his career at Manville, Russo served as the principal of the Lamonte Annex Elementary School in Bound Brook for five years. He launched his career as a special education teacher in the Hunterdon Central Regional High School District and then continued teaching in the Hillsborough School District.
Growing up, Russo was a student in Grades 1 through 3 at the Valley School, which is now the Wade Administration Building, the headquarters of the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District's central offices.
He later went on to attend the Adamsville School. During his school days in the community, Russo was an ESL (English as a Second Language) student. He is now fluent in three languages — English, Spanish and Italian.
He and his wife, Paige, who is a second-grade teacher in the Hillsborough School District, his four children-twin daughters Sienna and Sydney (ages 15), daughter, Scarlett (12) and son, Christian (10), and his Chocolate Lab, Max, live in Hillsborough. He is also involved in the local sports programs in Hillsborough.
"He is one of our own," Beers said. "Aldo represents the qualities we look for in our district leadership."
