Thanushri shared that prior to enrolling in Morijn’s Hand Building class this past semester, she had no experience with ceramics beyond playing with Play-Doh as a child. She stated that she "wanted to try something new" when she decided to take the Hand Building ceramics class.
Since beginning the class, Thanushri has developed a strong interest in ceramics.
She confirmed, "I am going to be taking more ceramics classes over the next three years."
Morijn noted Thanushri’s talent and the rarity of having a freshman in her class.
"She has a lot of talent, and it is rare I get a freshman in my class," Morijn said. "We got her for more years to come."
