Bridgewater Reported 'Shooting' Was Prank, Police Say

A reported shooting in Bridgewater on Saturday morning was found to be just a prank call, police said.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A reported shooting in Bridgewater on Saturday morning was found to be just a prank call, police said.

At around 10:05 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 someone called the Bridgewater Police Department to report a possible shooting in the area of Finderne Avenue near English Court, Police Lt. John Mitzak said.

An investigation found that the call was a prank. There is no threat to the public, Mitzak said.
