Bennett's personality traits included: she lit up the room, she was always smiling, her laugh was infectious, she was easy to love, she loved well, she was a great person, she made people feel good, and her light will be missed, according to her obituary.

"Kate’s plate always seemed full and she hated saying 'no' to anyone – and when she did something, it always came together as if she planned it out well in advance, because she put it together with pure love," according to her obituary.

"Her smile was big, her laugh was loud, her hug was tight, and her stories were sometimes larger than life – and she always had a smile, a laugh, a hug, and a story ready to give to whomever she met," the obituary continued.

Bennett was predeceased by her father, Michael. She leaves behind many heartbroken family members and friends, including her husband and daughters, her mother, her two brothers, Spiro (Emily) and Nick (Tamara), her in-laws Jim and Kathi Bennett, her sister in-law Jessica, and a gaggle of nephews and nieces that got to experience her as fun, loving Aunt Kate.
