The Bridgewater-Raritan High School (BRHS) Freshman Football Team led by Coaches Ed Knapp, Brian Swayne and Michael Geremia finished off a PERFECT SEASON on November 8th continuing a legacy of success that will help drive BRHS efforts to Football prowess. The team finished the year UNDEFEATED by beating Linden 36 to 8 and a 9 Win and 0 Loss record. While doing so they defeated other prominent football programs such as Phillipsburg and Westfield who were also undefeated prior to running into the power of this BRHS team. During this perfect season, the Freshman Team scored 268 points with a powerful and balanced offensive attack resulting in 39 touchdowns (22 rushing, 14 passing and 3 by other efforts as well as 30 extra points) while only letting up 64 points with an outstanding and swarming defensive attack allowing no more than one touchdown each game. The defense combined for over 250 tackles/sacks, 7 fumble recoveries, 6 interceptions, and 2 safeties. Congratulations to the entire team, the coaching staff, and the many parents that supported them throughout a great season. All the Best to all these young men as they continue their journey and join the rest of the great players that make up the overall BRHS football program in the coming years. CONGRATS!!!
