BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater author Amy Jensen, known for her "Chuckie the Chocolate Lab" series, has teamed up with 13 Skeletons creators Jim and Joann Adam to publish a new Halloween-themed book.

"Chuckie was a huge fan of 13 Skeletons, so I asked Jim and Joann Adams if I could put the 13 Skeletons in the book and they of course said yes," said Jensen.

The Adams are known for their unique and ever-evolving skeleton display that comes to life every year on their front lawn at 948 Route 202/206 in Bridgewater right around Halloween. Read More: 13 Skeletons: A Halloween Tradition Lives On In Bridgewater

On Tuesday, April 25, Jensen is launching her Kickstarter for Chuckie's Halloween Mystery. In this book, Chuckie and his brother Bernie get frightened by a shadowy figure on the neighbor's lawn but they find a way to overcome their fear together.

"The illustrations are absolutely adorable, so this is a perfect book for kids who love Halloween," said Jensen, who noted that the illustrations are by Ulana Zahajkewycz. "But it also deals with overcoming fear."

For this Kickstarter, people can also pledge to have their name, their photo or their pet's photo published in the book. One person can also write their own dedication to be featured at the front of the book.

In addition to the Halloween book, readers can also order a hardcover edition of Chuckie Makes Mistakes (Sometimes) and names and photos can be included in this book too.

This Halloween book is the fifth book in Jensen's series. Jensen's late dog Chuckie is the inspiration behind Jensen's book series.

Chuckie is well known in the township and is also an internet sensation with more than 11,000 followers on Instagram, 4,500 fans on Facebook, and 2,800 on Tiktok around the globe.

Jensen started posting about Chuckie after he had an eye procedure and was fitted with a cone. He smashed it to pieces and instantly became a social media hit.

Chuckie, unfortunately, died in April 2022 but he lives on in Jensen's books.
