Burlington Pushes Back Opening Date In Raritan Due To Coronavirus

Burlington replaced the former 46,000-square-foot Toys R Us store in Raritan making it the first to open in Somerset County.

RARITAN, NJ — Despite Gov. Phil Murphy allowing indoor in-person retail to reopen on June 15, Burlington Stores is pushing back their opening date for its first Somerset County location.

"That store location will be opening in the fall of this year," a spokesman with Burlington told Patch.

The location was set to take over the former Toys "R" Us store in Raritan on the Somerville Circle in April. When the coronavirus hit nonessential stores were forced to close in March.
