Car Ignites Into Flames Atop Bridgewater Overpass
The driver was already out of the car when Bridgewater Police Officers arrived on Friday afternoon.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A car ignited into flames Friday afternoon causing delays on Route 202.
Around noon, Bridgewater Police went to Route 202 North by the Basilone Overpass and Somerville Circle to find a fully involved fire of a Hyundai Elantra, Captain John Mitzak said.
The driver was already out of the car when officers arrived, Mitzak said.

The fire was caused by an unknown mechanical issue, Mitzak said.
Green Knoll Fire and North Branch Fire both came out and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Somerset Hills Towing.
