Car Overturns, Driver Hospitalized Following Crash On I-287

The car overturned on I-287 North in Bridgewater on Sunday morning.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A driver was hospitalized after a car overturned on I-287 in Bridgewater on Sunday.

The crash was reported at 11:47 a.m. on the northbound side at milepost 14. A Hyundai Accent went off the road on the left side and overturned, New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said.

The driver sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville.

The left lane was closed as a result for about 40 minutes.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, Goez said.
