Celebrity Hair Stylists Open Salon in Raritan

Raritan, NJ -- Well known for their television debut on TLC’s “Global Beauty Masters,” Carlos Roman and Grecia Rincon are opening a hair salon in Raritan.

Studio Gitanos is having a soft opening on Tuesday, May 3 and a grand opening is expected to happen within the first week of June. It will offer hair services and a make-up bar.

“The location just called to us,” Roman of Somerset told Patch. "It’s very central since we have people who come from Somerville, Branchburg, Neshanic Station, Hillsborough. It’s accessible to a lot of different places.”

Roman and Rincon competed together internationally in the World Cup of Beauty, while on Global Beauty Masters, which airs on TLC and Discovery Life. Their teams was judged on hair, makeup, nails and styling. They made it to the finals.

“The show was a huge stepping stone,” Roman said. “It first brought our team together which is what gave us this vision. And in the industry people already know who I am now.”

Along with the show, Roman and Rincon are well-known for teaching hair styling classes to students and also prepping locals to get on the new season on Global Beauty Masters.

Roman describes the launch of their first salon as their “baby” where he hopes to bring glamour to the local area.

“We want to take the star look and bring it to everybody,” Roman said.
