Controlled Forest Fire Burn Continues At Washington Valley Park Thursday
Residents may see smoke in the area as a result.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A controlled burn at Washington Valley Park in Bridgewater will continue again on Thursday, said police.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection conducted the controlled burn on Wednesday and will continue it Thursday.
Residents in the area of Newmans Lane, Chimney Rock Road, and Gilbride Road may experience smoke in the area, said Bridgewater Police.

A controlled burn is conducted to reduce fuel buildup on the forest floor and decrease the likelihood of a fire in the future.
