COVID Causes Bridgewater Township Reorganization Meeting To Go Virtual
The Bridgewater Township reorganization meeting scheduled on Thursday night at 7 p.m. will now be held virtually only.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater Township has shifted its upcoming reorganization meeting to entirely virtual due to rising COVID-19 cases.
The meeting on Thursday, Jan. 6, was originally scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Courtroom of the Bridgewater Township Municipal Complex. Instead, the meeting will be live-streamed only.

At the meeting, Republican incumbents Allen F. Kurdyla, Howard V. Norgalis, and Filipe Pedroso will be sworn into office following their successful win in the 2021 election.

As of Monday, Jan. 3, Bridgewater reported 66 new cases for that day alone and 767 since Dec. 28.
Despite rising case numbers the township is not quite ready to start shifting its access policies to township buildings.
"At this time, the Township is not changing any of our policies as it relates to COVID-19 for access to Township buildings and will not be doing so for any entities in Bridgewater," said Bridgewater Deputy Township Administrator Wells Winegar.
