BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Herbert family of Bridgewater is desperate for answers after their mother and wife was hit and killed while walking in a marked crosswalk by a tractor trailer and then a car last Tuesday.

"As you could imagine, we are all desperate to find out what happened at that intersection. My parents live in the neighborhood. My mom went out for a walk to enjoy the weather and never made it back. She was a wonderful, generous woman, incredibly well-loved by all who knew her and deserved much better than this," said Danielle, daughter of Joanne Herbert, 68, of Bridgewater.

Danielle is hoping a bystander or a witness will come forward and provide more insight into what happened to the police.
