Raritan Police reported making multiple arrests last week including: Driving while intoxicated, defecating in public and disorderly conduct.

RARITAN, NJ — Raritan Police reported making multiple arrests last week including: Driving while intoxicated, defecating in public and disorderly conduct.

Raritan Police Blotter:

On Aug. 31: Latika Mosby, 37, of Raritan, was arrested for disorderly conduct after police were dispatched to a West Somerset Street address for an out of control person. On scene, officers encountered Mosby, who was extremely intoxicated and combative. As officers attempted to have Mosby removed from the residence she began to swing her arms at officers. Mosby was late transported to the hospital for intoxication. Sgt. Thomas Fisher investigated the incident.

On Sept. 1: Edward Hall, 43, of Raritan, was arrested for multiple warrants out of Raritan, Bound Brook, and Somerville after he was observed defecating behind the property of Dollar Tree Store in Raritan. Hall was also issued a summons for disorderly conduct. Hall was issued multiple summonses during the week for possessing open containers of alcohol in public and unlawful lodging. Sgt Everett Holt and Officer Andrew Ragati investigated the incident.

On Sept. 2: Gillan Reneau, 27, of Plainfield, was arrested on an active warrant out of the Franklin Township Municipal Court (Somerset) following a motor vehicle stop on Route 28. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated the incident.

On Sept. 2: Charles Kruger, 52, of Raritan, was issued summonses for unlawful lodging and open containers of alcohol in public, after he was found sleeping underneath the Nevius Street Bridge, which is a known location for narcotics activity. Officer Andrew Ragati investigated the incident.

On Sept. 3: Garrett Williams, 29, of Raritan Borough, was arrested for a drug warrant out of Plainfield and a traffic warrant out of Raritan Township following a motor vehicle stop on Thompson Street. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated the incident.

On Sept. 5: Matthew Olavarria, 24, of Raritan, was arrested for failing to appear in Superior Court on aggravated assault charges that were filed in Raritan in 2016. Officer Damien Chromowsky observed Olavarria’s vehicle parked outside a residence on West Somerset Street and proceeded to the residence, locating Olavarria inside. The aggravated assault charges stem from an incident in which Olavarria assaulted a male with a metal pipe inside a Raritan residence in 2016. It was also alleged that Olavarria fired a pellet handgun at the male as he was fleeing the residence.

On Sept. 6: Jeremy Jacobs, 29, of Plainfield, was arrested on an active warrant out of the Raritan Borough Municipal Court. Sgt Everett Holt investigated the incident.

On Sept. 6: Mark Kinsey, 21, of Bridgewater, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bell Ave. Officer Benjamin Griffin investigated the incident.

On Sept. 7: Michael Castano, 28, of Bound Brook, was arrested for warrants out of Bridgewater and Branchburg after he was observed acting suspiciously at John F. Kennedy Primary School. While on patrol, Officer Andrew Ragati observed Castano riding a bike on school property prior to the start of school. Castano was turned over to the Branchburg Police Department.

On Sept. 7: Taylor Geraghty, 22, of Readington, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Old York Road. Officer Robert Sinopoli investigated the incident.
