DWI Crash, Shoplifting, Stolen Vehicles Reported In Bridgewater

Two dirt bikes and a catalytic converter were also stolen within the last month in the township, according to police.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater Police reported stolen vehicles, car burglaries, shoplifting and a DWI crash within the last month.

On Dec. 22, a victim from Sherlin Drive reported their vehicle stolen from the driveway of their residence. The victim had been unloading items from their vehicle when someone entered the vehicle and fled the scene. The vehicle was unoccupied and the key to the vehicle was still in it at the time of the incident.

On Dec. 26 at around 2:30 p.m., Glorymar Rivera-Marin, 23, of New Jersey was stopped for shoplifting at Wegman’s, located at 724 Route 202. Rivera-Marin placed $1,637.96 worth of merchandise in a shopping cart and exited the store without paying for the merchandise. A complaint summons was completed and Rivera-Marin was released with a pending court appearance.

On Dec. 28, a victim from Sally Court reported their vehicle stolen from the driveway of their residence. The vehicle was unoccupied and it is believed that the key to the vehicle was still in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

On Jan. 2, a victim reported two orange KTM dirt bikes had been stolen from a detached garage on Mount Vernon Road. The garage was unlocked at the time of the incident.

On Jan. 3, a victim reported their vehicle had been burglarized while parked in a business on Chimney Rock Road. The victim advised that their vehicle had been parked in a parking lot and locked. The actor smashed a window and removed the victim’s purse which was located on the floor in the back seat of the vehicle.

On Jan. 8 at around 12:31 p.m., Leah Davitt, 18, from Whitehouse Station, was stopped for shoplifting at Nordstrom Rack, located at 362 Chimney Rock Road. Davitt stole store merchandise valued at $268.85. A complaint summons was completed and she was released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 8 at around 2:20 p.m., Yasmine Alvarez, 23, from Somerset, was stopped for shoplifting at Target, located at 200 Promenade Boulevard. Alvarez stole store merchandise valued at $208.24. A complaint summons was completed and she was released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 10, a resident from East Main Street reported that the catalytic converter had been stolen from their vehicle. The vehicle had been parked in the driveway in front of the residence.

On Jan. 14 at around 12:37 p.m., Amy Baker, 37, from Bound Brook, was stopped for shoplifting at Target, located at 200 Promenade Boulevard. Baker stole store merchandise valued at $511. A complaint summons was completed and she was released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 17 at 8:01 p.m., Todd Cox, 37, of Bridgewater, was arrested for DWI after being involved in a motor vehicle crash on Mark Drive. Cox was issued the following summonses: DWI, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to report a crash, failure to exhibit registration and careless driving. He was released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 18 at around 6:12 p.m., a 56-year-old woman from Bound Brook, was stopped for shoplifting at Nordstrom Rack, located at 362 Chimney Rock Road. Luchynska stole store merchandise valued at $70.90. A complaint summons was completed and she was released with a pending court appearance.

On Jan. 21 at around 5:45 p.m., Rohitkuma Negi, 37, from Avenel, was stopped for shoplifting at Macy’s, located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Rohitkuma stole store merchandise valued at $816.74. A complaint summons was completed and he was released with a pending court appearance.
