DWI, Shoplifting Arrests Reported In Bridgewater

Bridgewater Police released the blotter for the month of April.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — DWI and shoplifting arrests were among the items reported in the April Bridgewater Police blotter.

On April 2 at around 2:25 p.m.: A 42-year-old woman from Monmouth Junction was stopped for shoplifting at Marshalls located at 125 Promenade Blvd. She stole store merchandise valued at $151.93. A complaint summons was completed and she was released with a pending court appearance.

On April 12 at around 6:55 p.m.: An 18-year-old woman from Bogota was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. She stole store merchandise valued at $207. A complaint summons was completed and she was released with a pending court appearance.

On April 14 at around 5:47 p.m.: Kraupa Guruvayurappan, 38, of Three Bridges, was arrested for DWI after being stopped on Route 22 West in the area of Commons Way. Guruvayurappan was issued the following summonses: failure to maintain lane, following too closely, careless driving, and driving while intoxicated. He was released with a pending court appearance.

On April 14 at around 11:14 p.m.: Henry Armando, 21, of Philadelphia, PA was arrested for DWI after being stopped on Route 202 in the area of First Ave. Armando was issued the following summonses: failure to maintain lane, failure to obey traffic signs, driving without a license, reckless driving, careless driving, and driving while intoxicated. Armando was released with a pending court appearance.

On April 19 at around 4:11 p.m.: Mdarif Bhuyan, 55, of Ringoes, was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. Bhuyan stole store merchandise valued at $985.83. A complaint summons was completed and he was released with a pending court appearance.

On April 19 at around 10:25 p.m.: A 29-year-old man from Plainfield, was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. Esaw stole store merchandise valued at $243.44. A complaint summons was completed and he was released with a pending court appearance.

On April 21 at around 2:16 p.m.: Officers responded to a residence on Linden Street for a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim said the unlocked/unsecured vehicle was rummaged through during the overnight hours of April 20.

On April 22 at around 11:02 a.m.: Officers responded to South Adamsville Road for a report of stolen construction equipment. The victim reported that a 2015 Sulivan-Palatek air compressor was taken during the overnight hours of April 18. The air compressor is valued at $32,285.

On April 22 at around 11:23 p.m.: A 43-year-old man from Hopewell was stopped for shoplifting at Home Depot at 400 Promenade Blvd. Wettstein stole store merchandise valued at $398. A complaint summons was completed and he was released with a pending court appearance.

On April 28 at around 4:03 p.m.: A resident of Acorn Drive reported their motor vehicle was stolen during the overnight hours of April 27. The victim said the vehicle was left unlocked/unsecured while parked in the driveway overnight.
