Early Closure, Delayed Opening For Raritan Valley Community College Due To Snow

An impending snowstorm has caused the early closure on Monday and delayed opening on Tuesday.

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Raritan Valley Community College is closing early on Monday and will have a delayed opening on Tuesday due to the impending snowstorm.

RVCC at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg will close at 6 p.m. on Monday and be delayed in the opening on Tuesday until 11 a.m.

The most recent models show five to eight inches of wet snow possible in the interior portions of northeastern New Jersey, with the highest amounts falling north and west of I-287.

Monday night: Rain and sleet before 10 p.m., then rain, snow, and sleet between 10 p.m. and midnight, then rain after midnight. Low around 34. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation expected.

Tuesday: A chance of rain before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
