Fairgrown Farm and the Food Bank Network of Somerset County Launch Community Share Farm Box Pickup Site

Bridgewater, N] —Fairgrown Farm is proud to announce the launch of a new Community Share CSA pickup site in partnership with the Food Bank Network of Somerset County, creating a weekly opportunity for local residents to access Jersey Fresh produce while directly supporting neighbors facing food insecurity.

Beginning Friday, February 27, 2026, the farm box pickup will take place every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Food Bank Network of Somerset County. Through the Community Share program, 10% of all funds from farm shares picked up at this site are reinvested to purchase locally grown, fresh produce for families in need across the county.

The Community Share model allows households to participate in Fairgrown Farm’s CSA program while strengthening the local food system in a tangible way. Each farm box provides members with a weekly selection of fresh vegetables from New Jersey farms and helps ensure that high-quality food reaches neighbors who might otherwise lack access.

“Community Share is about building a food system that works for everyone,” said James Klett, co-owner of Fairgrown Farm. “By partnering with the Somerset County Food Bank, we’re creating a space where community members can support local agriculture and directly contribute to food access for their neighbors at the same time.”

The Somerset County Food Bank will utilize Community Share funds to source Jersey Fresh produce for local food assistance programs, strengthening ties between regional farms and the emergency food network.
