Family-Run Heavenly Hoagies Opens In Bridgewater
Bridgewater local Jon Lane opened the hoagie shop with his wife Lauryn, and his sister Brittany on Tuesday.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Heavenly Hoagies is truly a family affair. Jon Lane opened the hoagie shop with his wife Lauryn, and his sister Brittany in Bridgewater on Tuesday.
Opening Heavenly Hoagies was a dream of Jon Lane.
"Our grandfather was a chef in the military and I wanted to follow a dream," Lane said. "Since before he passed away he wanted to open a hotdog cart but I wanted something different. I was hoping to open a place before my mom passed away. So now I am fulfilling that dream."

Lane opened Heavenly Hoagies at 84 Old York Road, which is right down the road from their home in the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater. The business is taking the place of the Polish Pickle, which moved to Manville in August.
"It's amazing, just amazing," said Lane of being able to fulfill his dream. "It's something I always wanted to do. I just turned 39 and I have been working, striving toward it for a long time. I am thankful to God to be able to go in this direction."

Appropriately named Heavenly Hoagies, Lane says his shop is "unique" since all of the sandwiches are named after lost loved ones or family members.
The Pipsqueak is named by Lane's daughter and his son named The Giant since he is a New York Giants fan. Lane named The Dirty Philly, which is a cheesesteak tossed in buffalo sauce.
"We also have a family tree here and are offering any customer to come put a lost loved one's name on a leaf or their picture — just be part of our family," said Lane.
Lane's wife Lauryn also creates croissant squares that are layers of croissant dough with a filling, such as a cheesesteak, in the middle. They are then baked and served with chips.
Breakfast will also be served seven days a week including coffee, breakfast burritos, breakfast bowls, and breakfast sandwiches such as pork roll, egg, and cheese.
Heavenly Hoagies will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Delivery is also available through DoorDash, GrubHub, and personally from the store itself.
