Fire Engulfs Jeep That Just Left Mechanic In Bridgewater
The driver was on his way home after getting repair work done when he heard a pop, according to the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Firefighters battled a car fire on Wednesday in Bridgewater.
Just before 5 p.m. on May 24, the fire was reported on Gilbride Road, said Bridgewater Police Lt. Kevin Lamey.
The owner had just had repair work completed on his 2010 Jeep Wrangler and was on the way home from the repair shop when he heard a pop, said Bill Rose with the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department.

While driving home they noticed a fire under the hood and immediately pulled over, said Lamey.
The front end engine compartment became fully engulfed and was quickly extending to the cab, said Rose.

The Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported.
