Firefighters Battle Kitchen Fire At Bridgewater Home
The fire broke out on Wednesday morning in the Martinsville section of the Township.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Bridgewater home was declared "uninhabitable" following a kitchen fire on Wednesday morning.
On Feb. 28 just before 9:30 a.m., a neighbor reported a structure fire at a home off Washington Valley Road, according to Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived to find a working fire and began suppression operations, quickly bringing the fire under control, said Bill Rose with the fire department.

The fire was found in the kitchen area with smoke and heat damage extending throughout the structure.
The Bridgewater Township Fire Officials Office will investigate the cause of the fire.

Rose told Patch that no one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.
Along with the Martinsville Department, the Martinsville Rescue Squad, Bridgewater Police Department, Warren Township Fire, Finderne Fire, Far Hills Bedminster Fire, and the Somerset County Fire Coordinators all helped with this fire call.
