SOMERVILLE, NJ — Volunteer firefighters battled an early morning fire on Thursday in Somerville.

At around 12:45 a.m., Somerville Fire Department and Raritan Fire Department was called to the area of North Gaston and East High Street for a reported fire.

Firefighters found a working exterior furniture fire and extinguished it. There was no extension to the home due to swift actions and critical thinking by Somerville Police.
