2-Alarm House Fire Reported In Warren

Mountain Avenue has been reopened as of around 2:45 p.m. on Thursday.

WARREN, NJ — A two-alarm house fire on Mountain Avenue in Warren was reported on Thursday.

At around 12:25 p.m., the Warren Township Police received a call of smoke emanating from a house on Mountain Avenue, said Warren Police Lt. Ronald Roselli.

The residence was found unoccupied and the fire was later safely extinguished.

"The scene has been deemed safe, and the road is reopened in all directions," said Warren Township Police around 2:45 p.m.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. No injuries were reported, said Roselli.

Warren Township Police, Warren Township Fire Department, Warren Township Office of Emergency Management, and Emergency Medical Services, along with neighboring township Fire Departments and Somerset County officials responded.
