Get A Free Slurpee Monday At Participating 7-Eleven Stores

The temperature is pretty hot outside and what better way to cool off than with an ice cold Slurpee?

How about one for free?

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of 7-Eleven's Slurpee, today (Monday, July 11) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can stop at a local participating 7 -Eleven store and get a free small 12-ounce Slurpee. No purchase necessary.

7-Eleven’s signature Slurpee drink turns 50 this year, and the store is releasing a special flavor to celebrate. "Fanta Birthday Cake" is a combination of vanilla ice cream and birthday cake flavors, the chain explains. The limited edition offering joins wild cherry, Coca Cola and "Sour Patch Redberry."

For its 50th birthday, the chain also has a special gift for customers: anyone who purchases seven Slurpees between July 12 and 18 will receive 11 free Slurpees through Aug. 31.
