Gabe's Bagels Opens First Somerset County Location In Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A new bagel shop is finally open in the Martinsville section of Bridgewater.

Gabe's Bagels opened recently inside the Squires Garden shopping center on the corner of Chimney Rock Road and Washington Valley Road.

The bagel shop had initially been expected to open in January.

The shop is owned by Gabe Gebril who owns three other locations in East Hanover, Chatham, and Fair Lawn.

Gebril told Patch previously that he chose Martinsville because he noticed there weren't really any bagel shops in the area.

"I wanted to give residents another option to have a bagel shop," said Gebril.

Gabe's Bagels has been in business for the past 25 years and Gebril credits his success to offering everything from scratch.

"We hand roll our bagels and do everything from scratch. The bagels are New York style," said Gebril.

Along with bagels, Gabe's offers breakfast sandwiches, grilled sandwiches, spreads, grilled cheeses, cold-cut sandwiches, hot and cold sandwiches, and more.
