Home Under Construction Catches Fire In Bridgewater

The fire broke out on Wednesday night to a home on Chimney Rock Road in Bridgewater.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A home that was under construction in Bridgewater caught fire on Wednesday night.

The fire was reported at around 11:15 p.m. at the corner of Chimney Rock Road and Fieldstone Lane.

Martinsville Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within 15 minutes of arriving on scene. As a result, damage was limited by the quick action of the department, Bill Rose, spokesman for the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department.

Finderne Fire and Bound Brook Fire also stood by to cover any other assignments for Martinsville.

The fire is still under investigation and the cause is undetermined at this time, Rose said.
