Injured Boy Rescued From Trail Near Buttermilk Falls In Bridgewater

Emergency responders were called out on Independence Day.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Emergency responders were busy on July 4th with a rescue of an injured juvenile near Buttermilk Falls in Bridgewater.

On July 4 at 4:56 p.m., Peapack-Gladstone First Aid and Rescue Squad Inc. and Somerville Rescue Squad were called for their Off-Road Polaris Ranger into Bridgewater to the Buttermilk Falls for a juvenile male with a foot injury located on a trail in the woods.

"Crews worked together to get the patient out of the woods and to an appropriate hospital for treatment. Great work by all! Teamwork!" wrote Peapack-Gladstone First Aid and Rescue Squad.

Bridgewater Police Department and Somerset County Park Rangers also helped with the rescue.

Peapack-Gladstone First Aid and Rescue Squad is made up of 100 percent volunteers serving the community 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
