Inspired By Mom, Daughter Opens Fashion Boutique In Somerville
NJ native Jeanna Palumbo recently opened Alba Boutique on Division Street in Somerville.
SOMERVILLE, NJ — Inspired by her mother’s fashion style, Jeanna Palumbo, decided to open her own line of fashion boutiques — with the newest location now open in Somerville.
Palumbo of Woodcliff Lake started Alba Boutique in 2013 with her first location in Ridgewood. The name and concept all came from Palumbo’s love of her mom, Dawn. In Italian, Dawn is Alba.
"My mom passed away when I was 19 and when I started my own business I always wanted to honor her. She was a very big style inspiration to me," Palumbo said.

The store offers contemporary clothing that is made from quality materials with styles that are meant to last for years to come. The concept was also inspired by Palumbo’s mom.
"I still have so many amazing things from her closet that I wear everyday," Palumbo said.

All of the clothing is trendy and each store offers a personalized shopping experience.
Palumbo has since opened locations in Hoboken, Summit, Morristown and now Somerville. The Somerville location at 15 Division St. opened on March 30.
Palumbo chose Somerville because she loved the "charming downtown feel."
"I found Division Street and fell in love with it," Palumbo said.
Palumbo is throwing a Spring Fling event on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at all stores.
Shoppers can check out Palumbo’s clothing in store or online. For more information on Alba Boutique visit albaboutique.com or instagram.com/albaboutique.
